I know I am just slightly behind in posting this (more than three months!). But, here it is. First I will say, I am really happy with how the party turned out. The kids all had so much fun, as did I. We even had Mr. Jon the Science Guy (my best friend’s husband, who is a real life science guy) put on a fun science show for the kids that had them oohing and ahhing. I did a photo booth and got lots of awesome photos of people I love.
But, in a moment of anti-fluff, I’ll be honest as to why I hesitated so long in posting the photos. I really hate the appearance of my home and am embarrassed by it. This is why you almost never see me post at home photos, because I don’t like people seeing my home. So many photographers out there have these glorious, light filled homes and that’s definitely not what I live in. I’m generally not a person who cares much about keeping up with the Joneses but this is one thing I can’t shake. But, today I read an article that really hit close to home for me and I wanted to share it really quick, before I get onto the fun photos. Give me Gratitude or Give me Debt. This article is a great read to help you remember to be thankful for what you have when you’re feeling down about the small stuff.
Anyway! Now onto the fun stuff! First off, all the photos below are a mix of photos taken by Jenna from Snapberry Photographs and photos I took myself. The ‘big’ cake was made by Piece of Cake Bakery. The adorable cake topper was made by Handcrafted Critters by Carly. The smash cake (the science beaker) was made by me. I definitely won’t be quitting my day job 😉 The cookies were also made by me. If you have any other questions about where I got something, feel free to ask me!
Onto the pictures.
Thanks for stopping by and I hope you all have a great weekend!
