Peace
It’s one of those holiday type words that you see in a million Christmas cards and light displays in your neighbor’s front yard. But, what does it really mean?
Peace
Peace for strangers. An end to war, suffering, terror, hunger. Universal understanding – or at least an attempt at it. It’s peace we can wish for, but we often feel too small to do much about.
Peace
Peace for people we know and love. A comforting shoulder, a smile, a hand to hold. Being there when someone needs you. It’s a peace we can provide.
Peace
Peace for ourselves. Stop, close your eyes, take a breath. Stop rushing. The world doesn’t end if the laundry doesn’t get washed today. It’s a peace that we can only provide for ourselves, but so often forget to do so.
