Urban Dance Photography in Downtown Dallas

I’ve had an interest in dance photography for quite a while, with dance sessions here and there. For those who have been following me for a long time, you may remember my daughter has been dancing for approaching 12 years now. While dance is beautiful, it’s also a sport that requires incredible dedication and hard work. It’s not always perfect and pretty. I wanted to capture both sides of dance with some urban dance photography in downtown Dallas. We did both ballet and modern inspired photos. Beautiful Miss R was a natural for our session, and I’m excited to see how she continues to grow as a dancer over the years.

There are many great areas in Dallas, and surrounding cities, to make your dance photos unique. For this session, we headed down to Trinity Groves near the Margaret Hunt Hill bridge. Other options include Deep Ellum, the West End and so much more. Check out some of my favorite images from our dance session below.

I am currently offering discounted urban dance sessions for experienced dancers age 12+. Pointe shoes not required. We can celebrate any style of dance that you love to do.
